Why can't I cry to songs?

feel so low and heartattack and a layby don't move me at all either, and neither do the other songs you listed. personally i don't respond at all to blatant acts of sadness, eg seeing someone bawl their eyes out, or a straightforward song about being sad, it just does nothing for me. what really crushes me is when that sadness is tucked away and channeled differently, through a positive guise or whatnot.
