Why do some people hate Catholics?

Some churches claim that were satanic or that the Pope is the antichrist. Why do they do that the Pope is in a line that has been passed down from Peter, Jesus' apostle and we do study the Bible and adhere to tradition. We don't have the Inquisition courts any more and the Pope has apologized for that. It is one of the most universal religions, with followers throughout the world that are good people so why do some people hate on it. We don't hate on other religions and we don't say that people who aren't in the Church are damned.
