1 year old German Shepherd met first porcupine on Tuesday. Trip to vet to remove nose-full & some inside his mouth. It appears now that the vet missed one on his nose. He has a large lump and I accidentally bumped his nose and he yelped. The dog is still on pain meds but I'm concerned about this large lump that obviously contains a quill. Hydrogen peroxide poured on the area to remove/loosen and reduce infection or bag balm applied directly to area? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
